About Us
The family firm of R Ashton and Son is now in its 40th year of trading at its garage in Uggeshall.
Situated just off the A12 near Wangford, the business was originally founded by Ronnie and Audrey Ashton with their son Peter in 1970.
The family lived in the bungalow on the site and with the help of local friends constructed the present day workshops themselves.
Agricultural work formed the nucleus of the work then but nowadays the workshops run by Peter and his wife Sue, together with their well established team, are as modern and up to date as any city garage.
All state of the are and hi-tech equipment is installed for servicing, repairing, tuning and MoT testing all makes and models of cars and light commercials.
The experienced Ashton team includes Ian Shelley who has been with Peter for 30 years, Peter Faires for 5 and Derek Black who joined us in July 2009.
